English as a Second Language International The English as a Second Language International (ESLI) center located on the West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) campus helps prepare students with English training for entrance to the University. Students are integrated into academic, social and cultural life. There are two options for Intensive English classes - ESLI ONLY - Students study for 1 to 2 semesters in the ESLI center to meet English language objectives but do not intend to enter the university for academic studies. ESLI Conditional Admission Studies - Students apply to the university for a degree program but enter the ESLI center for language training prior to begining their degree program. Conditional admission students receive an I-20 for language training and a letter of pre-admission approval to the university for the visa interview. Upon completion of the ESL program, a transfer I-20 for entry into the degree program will be issued by the university. Students who successfully complete ESL are not required to submit a TOEFL. Please note: student may not begin academic studies until they have completed ESL. ESLI Start Terms - Fall 2009 term - Aug. 24 - Dec. 10

- Foreign Credential Evaluation report from a "University-Approved" agency
- Proof of finances (bank letter and sponsor letter)
- Statement of educational goals
