Complaint Resolution Campus Ombudsman The West Texas A&M University ombudsman provides students with an unbiased outlet to make known complaints and concerns as they pertain to the University’s policies and procedures. The ombudsman listens to complaints, answers questions and provides information and assistance to address your concerns. The ombudsman acts without bias in proposing options to informally resolve the issue at hand. Communications received by the ombudsman may be kept in confidence to the extent provided by law. The ombudsman promotes good and fair processes and does not act on behalf of the individual or the University. **Note: Contact with the ombudsman does not constitute official notification to the University. If a complaint cannot be resolved at the University level, students may file a grievance with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
