Do I need to register for Buff Branding?
Yes, you will have an opportunity during your small group time at New Student Orientation to “Go the Distance” and register for Buff Branding.
Is there a cost for Buff Branding?
No, there is no additional cost for Buff Branding. The $125 you were charged prior to attending your summer experience covers the expenses for both New Student Orientation and Buff Branding.
What if I want to move in before August 20?
Early arrivals are only permitted if there is an academic need or a University-sponsored obligation the resident needs to fulfill (for example, student athletes and marching band members). If an early arrival is permitted, a $35 charge occupancy charge may apply.
International students will move into the residence halls on August 17. If you are an international student, more information can be found at http://www.wtamu.edu/student-support/international-orientation.aspx. Because you will move into the residence halls on August 17, please join us at 5:00 p.m. on August 20 for Buff Branding. It will begin with a small group time, followed by dinner in the CAF and Playfair at 7:30 p.m. at the Buffalo Sports Park.
Do parents and family members attend any part of Buff Branding?
Of course your family members are welcome to help you move into your residence hall, but all of the scheduled events, beginning with the small group time, are for students only. There is a parent reception with the president at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, in the Alumni Banquet Hall that we would like to invite you to attend.
