Welcome to the RELLIS campus, a collaboration of Blinn College and Texas A&M University. Through partnership with WTAMU's College of Nursing and Health Sciences, we are proud to offer a Bachelor of Science in Health Science degree at our state-of-the-art facility located in Bryan, Texas.

About the Degree

The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Health Science at RELLIS is geared towards students with clinical and non-clinicals backgrounds who want to work in the health industry. The healthcare industry encompasses a wide range of settings and organizations that includes hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, public health departments, and non-profit agencies. 

Students who pursue the B.S. in Health Science degree will learn to:

  • Conduct research on processes and conditions related to various diseases
  • Analyze health-related issues related to a variety of vulnerable populations, such as the elderly, children, and minority groups
  • Develop school and community nutrition, wellness, and fitness programs
  • Learn how diseases start and how to prevent their spread
  • Learn how to educate populations of people to better manage their health
  • Discover how to utilize physical and occupational therapy to improve quality of life
  • Explore ways to reduce health disparities in communities
  • Communicate professionally, both in person and in writing

Degree Requirements & Admission

Prerequisites

We welcome students from programs ranging from clinically scientific backgrounds such as biology, chemistry, and biological lab sciences, to traditional liberal arts backgrounds, such as anthropology, sociology, or psychology. Education and experiences with foreign languages, business, economics, engineering, criminal justice, public administration can also be used to create an academic path to important careers in health.

Program Pathway from Blinn College

Blinn College offers associate degree programs such as pharmacy technician, physical therapy assistant, radiologic technology, vocational nursing, that provide seamless pathways to our four-year program. Please refer to Blinn College District for more details.
