WTAMU Student Receives Scholarship for Leadership Conference
CANYON, Texas—Dulcie Sultemeier, a graduate student in communication disorders at West Texas A&M University, will attend the July LinguaLive Leadership Conference in Chicago as the recipient of a Lingua Health scholarship.
The Lingua Health scholarship is a highly competitive one among graduate students. Only 20 are granted—10 full scholarships and 10 partial scholarships—to first-year graduate students who are leaders in speech-language pathology and plan to make an impact in the profession as clinicians.
“Dulcie is an excellent representative of the quality student WTAMU’s program offers to the profession of speech-language pathology,” Dr. Brenda Cross, head of the Department of Communication Disorders, said. “I have the utmost confidence that Dulcie will clearly make a difference in patients’ lives as well as give back to the communities in which she will eventually work and live.”
Lingua Health is a nationwide speech-language pathology agency dedicated to providing rewarding career opportunities to speech-language pathologists and bilingual speech-language pathologists.
