WTAMU Hosts Biannual One Sessions

CANYON, Texas—The mass communication program at West Texas A&M University will host its biannual One Sessions performance at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19 in the Sybil B. Harrington Fine Arts Complex AT&T High Definition Studio. Seating for the event begins at 6:30 p.m.

This semester’s One Sessions showcases Amarillo alternative-folk band Lincoln Youree and the Yours Truly. The band will perform an hourlong set of original content in front of a live studio audience. The performance also will be shot in high definition and recorded in the WT ProTools studio.

The University’s radio station, KWTS The One 91.1 FM, will be giving away VIP seats over the air beginning on Monday, April 9, and ending on Wednesday, April 18.

One Sessions is open to the public, but seating is limited.

One Sessions is a student-run production under the supervision of the mass communication faculty at West Texas A&M University. This is the fourth edition of One Sessions since its beginning in 2010. WT mass communication students shoot a live performance in high definition, record the audio on two separate consoles and then edit all these elements together to produce a live-performance DVD.

For more information about One Sessions, please contact Brandon Newburg, executive producer, at 806-676-4890 or visit wtamu.edu/kwts.
