University's Spring Commencement Set for May 11

CANYON, Texas—West Texas A&M University will conduct its spring commencement in morning and afternoon ceremonies on Saturday, May 11 at the First United Bank Center.

Diplomas will be awarded at 10 a.m. for students in the Sybil B. Harrington College of Fine Arts and Humanities and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. At 2 p.m., diplomas will be awarded to students in the Paul Engler College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences and the Paul and Virginia Engler College of Business. Lastly, students from the College of Education and Social Sciences and the School of Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics will be awarded at 6 p.m.  More than 1,200 students have applied for graduation in May.

On Friday, May 10, the WTAMU Alumni Association will sponsor its traditional ring ceremony at 3:30 p.m. in the Jack B. Kelley Student Center, Legacy Hall. There will be a reception immediately following.

The University conducts commencement ceremonies in December, May and August every year.
