University’s M.Ed. Program Ranks No. 15 for Affordability

CANYON, Texas—West Texas A&M University’s M.Ed. Educational Leadership program is ranked at No. 15 in the United States for both its quality and affordability, according to AffordableColleges.com.

The ranking is designed to help those interested in educational administration find an affordable program in an online format that allows time to balance work and family while pursuing a degree. To select the best of the thousands of degree programs available, AffordableColleges.com has created a unique formula to make sure students get the most value for their dollar. The formula is based on financial metrics, student success metrics and program metrics.

Based on the formula, WTAMU earned a value score of 7.46 to earn its No. 15 ranking. The University’s program was cited for its Texas school principal or Texas superintendent certification track with courses aligned with the TExES principals and superintendents competencies. Students at WTAMU can expect a high quality curriculum taught by a knowledgeable and experienced faculty. Plus, the program is built for flexibility for the convenience of students.

Positions as school principals and superintendents are just a few of the common roles available for graduates of an online master’s degree in educational leadership. Demand for professionals in this field is expected to grow nine percent by 2024, and a degree gives graduates more opportunities for positions with higher salaries.
