International Speaker, Author to Speak at WTAMU Willson Lecture Series

CANYON, Texas—West Texas A&M University’s Willson Lecture Series and the WTAMU Ministerial Alliances will host international speaker and author Nabeel Qureshi of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at the Alumni Banquet Facility.

Qureshi describes his intellectual and spiritual journey from Islam to Christianity in his upcoming book Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus. The books tells a powerful story of the clash between Islam and Christianity and of the peace Qureshi eventually found. He describes how a pursuit of the religion he was raised in led him to Christ through friendships, investigations, dreams and visions.
Cameron McAllister, a member of the speaking and writing team at RZIM also will speak. Qureshi and McAllister will offer responses to common questions surrounding Christianity.

RZIM was founded in 1984 by Dr. Ravi Zacharias and is now home to a team of speakers with offices around the world. The organization’s mission is to train people to defend Christianity against attacks from other religions and world views.

The Willson Lecture Series at WTAMU was established in 1947 by the J.M. Willson family of Floydada to provide colleges and universities with a religions emphasis on campus.

The Thursday night lecture is free and open to the public. For more information, call 806-651-3501.
