The Cornette Library serves as a Depository Library for United States and Texas documents. Serving as a depository library means that government publications are given to the Library free of charge as long as the public has open access to the documents. The Documents department provides access to the government documents housed on the second floor of the Library as well as to those available via the Internet.
Government documents are a great source for statistics, history, current events, and many other types of information. Cornette Library is a selective federal depository, receiving about half of the documents available, and a full depository for Texas documents.
The Documents staff can assist you in locating government information, interpreting documents call numbers, citing government information and answering other general questions.
