The Cornette Library and Thomson/ISI will offer training on how to make the best use of our new subscription to all three citation indexes from Web of Science: Arts and Humanities Citation Index, Social Science Citation Index, and Science Citation Index.

Web of Science includes indexing from three citation databases - Science Citation Index Expanded (5,900 journals in all sciences, including biotechnology), Social Sciences Citation Index (1725 journals in the social sciences, including business, industrial relations, law, and political science), and Arts & Humanities Citation Index (1144 journals in the arts and humanities). Linking to full text in other databases is available through the SFX button which appears only on the full record page.
In addition to keyword searching, Web of Science provides:
- Cited reference searching
- Current awareness searching
- Related records linking
- Interdisciplinary searching
- Number of times a paper was cited
