Your Account

All WTAMU students, faculty, staff, retired faculty, retired staff as well as patrons who have been given Temporary Borrower cards automatically have accounts in the Cornette Library's online catalog. You can use that account to find out what you have checked out, renew your books, or place a hold request on a book that is checked out by someone else.

See what you have checked out

Click on your name in the top right corner of the screen. Then click on My Library Card.

Click on your name in the top right corner of the screen. Then click on My Library Card.

Note: Your books will automatically renew until you run out of renewals. You may also manually renew your books. However, you will not be able to renew your books if you have overdue fines of $5.00 or more, if you have exceeded renewal limits, or your books are overdue:

Click on the Request Renewal link.

To manually renew individual items click on Renew next to each item you wish to renew. To renew all of your items at once, click on Renew All.

The system will indicate whether your books were successfully renewed and will show the new due date. If your books were not renewed, please phone the Circulation Desk at (806) 651-2223 for assistance. Remember, books will not renew automatically nor can you manually renew books online if they are overdue or if you have an outstanding fine of $5.00 or more. Other restrictions may also apply.

Remember to log out by clicking on your name near the top right side of the page.

Request a book that is checked out

When you find a book in the online catalog that is checked out to someone else, you may "place a hold" on that book -- that is, ask the Library to hold the book for you at the Circulation Desk when it is returned so that you will be the next person to get it. This service is only available for books which are checked out. You cannot place a hold on a book that is listed in the online catalog as available.

Look up the item in the online catalog. From the Brief or Full Record screen for the book you are interested in, click on the Sign-in link. The login screen will appear. Log in using the access method for your patron group. Note: You must login to see the Request button.

Click the Request button in the “Get It” area of the screen. In the white Details box, click on the available drop down boxes to choose Material Type, Terms of Use, Not Needed After date. You can also leave a Comment here. Then click Request.

Your request has now been placed. The system will tell you your place in the Request Queue. If you are the only patron who has placed a Hold Request on the title then your place in the queue will be 1.

Click on Refresh Services List to get back to the main page for the item. Note that your request does not show yet. In order for the request to show on this page, you must refresh the webpage.

Circulation will call and/or e-mail you when the book has been returned and will hold the book for you for 10 days at the Circulation Desk.

Remember to log out by clicking on your name near the top right side of the page.
