Where to Return Borrowed Materials

Cornette Library Books

Books returned to the Cornette Library should be placed in the book drops on the east end of the Circulation Desk. They may also be placed in either of the two outside book drops. One is located on the east side of the library in the wall near the handicap ramp on the front "porch" area. The second outside drop is located in the wall on the loading dock at the northwest side of the library.

Special care should be taken when returning pamphlets, CD's, diskettes, and oversize books. Please return these in person and hand them to a member of the Circulation staff. Likewise, books that may have been damaged while in your possession should be returned in person. This same procedure should be followed when you have been allowed to check out fragile items.

Books Borrowed through Interlibrary Loan

Library materials obtained through Interlibrary Loan should be returned to the drop box at the ILL Counter. If you are returning materials outside of regular business hours, please give them directly to the Reference Librarian on-duty.

Books Borrowed Using a TexShare Card or LEIAN Passport

Borrowed materials must be returned within the loan period to the lending library, NOT to Cornette Library. The patron may return the materials in person or by first class, insured mail. The patron is responsible to the lending library for costs associated with postage and/or lost or damaged materials. Cornette Library has the right to place administrative restrictions on WTAMU records for materials that are not properly returned to the lending library.

IITL Media Materials

Media materials/items borrowed from WTAMU's Instructional Innovational and Technology Lab must be returned to that Lab which is located in the northeast corner of the Hastings Electronic Learning Center.
