Network Services

The Network Services department works closely with the other departments of Systems Support to maintain a safe, cost-effective, reliable network for the faculty, staff and students of West Texas A&M University.

The campus network at WTAMU consists of a Gigabit backbone and several Ethernet LANs. The network connects 42 buildings, including 9 residence halls, and the network has over 2500 devices attached.

Internet access for the campus is provided via an OC3 (155Mbps) connection to Texas A&M University. The Network Services department maintains all core functions of the campus network including File and Print services, DNS, DHCP, Email, Virus Protection, and Security.

The Network Services department is located in the Computer Center, just across from the Jack B. Kelley Student Center.
