Raise Your Steins Buffs, It's Buff-toberfest.

Homecoming 2016 will be a German getaway on the WT campus. We’ll have a few new homecoming events, plus all of your favorites. Authentic food, great vendors, biergarten and of course, plenty of WT homecoming fun.

Saturday, Oct. 1

  • Work-A-Thon “Paint the Town Maroon”
    8 –11 a.m. | Pedestrian Mall
    Roll up your sleeves and pitch in alongside dozens of Buff groups and organizations all across campus.

Tuesday, Oct. 4

  • Paint My Ride
    9 a.m.-2 p.m. Victory Circle
    Decorate your ride with WT spirit and start Homecoming week right!
  • Campus Ministry Lunch
    WTAMU Campus
    Free lunch is always the most delicious.
  • Weenie Roast
    10 p.m. | Terrill Lawn | Sponsored by Residential Hall Association
    Enjoy delectable Buff-toberfest style hot dogs, roasted just for you by RHA.

Wednesday, Oct. 5

  • West Texas Wednesday
    Show us how you like to sport your maroon via social media for a chance to win cool Buff-toberfest prizes! @wtamu #wtamu
  • Make it Maroon
    6 p.m. | Cadillac Ranch
    Join us at the world famous Cadillac Ranch to show your Buff spirit and paint the cars maroon.
  • John Rush: The Human iPod
    9 p.m. | Jack B. Kelley Student Center, Legacy Hall
    Write down a song request, crumple it up, throw it on stage and John Rush might play it for you! Sponsored by RHA and the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership.

Thursday, Oct. 6

  • Freshman Convocation
    5 p.m. | First United Bank Center | Free and open to the public
    Get inspired and learn some things from award winning author Kelsey Timmerman, author of Where Am I Eating.
  • Fooze Fest
    7 p.m. | 26th Street 
    The humans become the foozeball table in this super fun game! Build a team or just come on your own.
  • Late Night Pancakes and Karaoke
    10 p.m. | The Caf
    Nothing tops off a good karaoke session like some late night pancakes.
  • Homecoming – Alumni Gathering
    6-9 p.m. | Starlight Canyon
    Raise your steins and shout “Prost” with you a few of your old WT friends and classmates. Featuring food, beverages and music

Fri, Oct. 7

  • Homecoming Golf Classic Tournament
    11:30 a.m., Lunch Begins | 12:30 p.m., Shotgun Start 
    Palo Duro Creek Golf Course, Canyon

    Fees – Individual Entry - $75.00, Team Entry fee - $300.00
    Entry fee includes green fee, golf cart, Homecoming classic pullover, one raffle ticket for a chance to win merchandise, a meal and other great prizes.
    Extras:  Buy A Drive - $20/Team to drop your ball at the 150 yard marker on a par 5 hole | Mulligans - $10.00 each with a maximum purchase of two (one for front nine and the other for back nine) | Purchase more raffle tickets at tournament (receive one ticket with entry fee)
  • Alumni Students Leadership Reunion
    Former President's Ambassadors, peer leaders, Rogers LEAD WT Scholars and student government leaders are invited to the President's home. Online Registration Coming Soon.
  • Pigskin Revue
    7 p.m. | The Box
    We've got spirit, yes we do, we've got spirit at Pigskin Revue! The annual Homecoming pep rally in The Box will be followed by the torch procession to Buffalo Sports Park.
  • Maroon Block Party
    9 p.m. | Grand Plaza/Buffalo Sports Park | Sponsored by Traditions Council
    Follow the Pigskin procession through campus for live music and a spectacular fireworks show.
  • Fireworks

    As soon as the October sun sets, the sky will ignite with Buff-toberfest spirit!
  • Golden/Diamond Buff Reunion
    Reception: 4-6; Dinner: 6-8

    Honoring the WT Class of 1966, Golden Buffs are invited to enjoy a reception and dinner.

Sat, Oct. 8

  • Alumni Open House
    9 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Buffalo Courts
    Check in at Buff Courts to receive your Homecoming Welcome packet and WT swag! While you're there, look through some old yearbooks and check out some cool WT memorabilia.
  • Buff-Tober Festival
    9 a.m. – 3 p.m. | WT Campus
    Vendors, food trucks, craft beer tasting, children's crafts, games and much more.
  • Homecoming Parade
    10 a.m. | WT Campus
    Find a good spot on campus and enjoy the Buff-toberfest Homecoming parade as it travels down 26th Ave.
  • Alumni Tailgate
    1-5 p.m. | Kimbrough Memorial Stadium Alumni Tailgate Area; Alumni Tailgate Deck (gates open at 9 a.m.)
    Buff-toberfest tailgating. Need we say more? Join us on the alumni tailgate deck for food, spirit and spirits!
  • Young Alumni Tailgate
    1-5 p.m. | Alumni tailgate deck (gates open at 9 a.m.) | Kimbrough Memorial Stadium tailgate area
    New and recent Buff grads can meet up at the alumni tailgate deck for beer, brats and a great time before the game.
  • WTAMU vs Kingsville
    5 p.m. | Kimbrough Memorial Stadium
    Cheer on the Buffs as they battle the Javalinas for a Homecoming victory! Enjoy the crowning of the new Homecoming King and Queen at halftime.
