It will be a day of heading, heeling and calf roping at the fifth annual West Texas Timed Event Championships beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Bill Cody Arena at the Tri-State Fairgrounds in Amarillo.

Timed-event contestants will compete in heading, heeling and calf roping, followed by an open ladies breakaway.

Entry deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11.
