She received a B.S. in secondary education from West Texas State University and Master of Professional Accounting from West Texas A&M University. Teaching and Related Service Upshaw teaches Principles of Accounting II and Intermediate Accounting II. She is the co-author of numerous articles appearing in the Journal of Accountancy. Upshaw is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She serves on the University Teacher Education Unit and the College of Business Marketing and Public Relations and Faculty Development and Recognition committees. Research and Creative Activity Upshaw’s research interests include business ethics, governmental accounting, federal compliance auditing and public school finance. Personal Sketch Upshaw lives on the rim of the Palo Duro Canyon with her husband John. She enjoys reading and taking walks. |
