Tuesday is the first "regular" day of camp. We're on autodrive from here on out. Mrs. Hensen has the junior high school varsity band in the activity center mirror room.

We're going to hit some of the section period classes. Each morning the campers has a full band rehearsal, a woodwing or brass/percussion grouping, and then an individual sectional in varioius combinations. We start with the marron band saxophones. Mr. Yett is their teacher.

Let's try the third hour. This looks like fuzzy clarinets, so it must be the symphonic band. Mr. Storey is their teacher.

After lunch come the 1:45 required class. We're in the room with the high school trumpet ensemble I. Dr. Takacs is the teacher.

There is also a music theory class taught by Dr. Brooks.

A 3 pm we have assemblies. High school students gather a Northen Recital Hall; the junior high students meet in Legacy Hall in the JBK (the Jack B. Kelley Student Center.

Now we're at the junior high assembly.

At 3:30 pm, the camp teachers form the directors band (a band of directors without possession). They are conducted by Dr. Gary Garner, WT professor emeritus.

There was a faculty recital last night for the 7 pm activity. Many of the camp faculty are also WTAMU faculty. First up was a string quartet (Dr. Rossitza Goza {WTAMU faculty], Yesenia Campos [WT graduate], Patrick Daly-Williams [WT graduate student], Alyssa Barton [camper]).

Next was Saint-Saens, Danse Bacchanale (Kathleen Bell [WTAMU faculty], Doug Storey [WTAMU faculty], Dr. James Barger [WTAMU faculty], Dr. Conor Bell [WTAMU faculty], Colby Swails [WTAMU alum])

Dr. John Shanks [WTAMU faculty] with Mila Abbasova [WTAMU faculty]

Jessica Schury [WTAMU faculty] with Mila Abbasova (WTAMU faculty).

And last was Carnival of Venice performed by Dr. William Takacs [wTAMU faculty] and Mila Abbasova [WTAMU faculty].

To finish up the evening for the campers was a dance, karaoke, or recreation at the activity center.
