This website was created to assist in keeping the West Texas A&M University community kept up to date on the expansion of the Jack B. Kelley Student Center. Below you will find information on how the project is funded, when it's expected to be completed, and illustrations of what will be available when completed.  If you have any questions, please feel free to message us on Facebook.

The Jack B. Kelley Student Center is committed to remaining fiscally responsible and makes every effort to remain open and transparent. General revenue funding is used for academic purposes will not fund the expansion of the JBK Student Center. In the spring of 2010, a University Center Fee increase was presented to the students of West Texas A&M University. The students voted to increase the student center fee and as a result provided enough funding to support the expansion of the Jack B. Kelley Student Center. With a total cost of $10.9 million, the project will provide excellent facilities with additional services for students. The JBK Student Center funds its operations through the Universities Center Fee.

While some of the specific timelines have not been set, you can check back ever so often to see an updated schedule. The entire project is estimated to be approximately 17 months with an expected completion date of November 2012.

June 7, 2011 – Construction fence put up
June 8, 2011 – Demolition of the project site began
August 8, 2011 - Ground Breaking Ceremony
October 12, 2012 - JBK Expansion Tours (Homecoming Week)
November 1, 2012 - JBK Expansion Opens
