Our mission is to support West Texas A&M University researchers in securing external funding and providing expert advice and administrative services during the pre- and post-award stages of the sponsored research project. ­­­­ A team of WTAMU scientists led by David Parker and Gary Barbee have received a Major Research Instrumentation Grant from the National Science Foundation.­ Read about the MRI grant in this Amarillo Globe article.

­­­­ The National Science Foundation has awarded West Texas A&M University a Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) grant totaling $371,700 for the purchase of a state-of-the-art, 400 MHz solid-state NMR spectrometer as a unique educational and research tool for the Texas Panhandle.­ Read more about the MRI here.­ See news video about the MRI here.


­­­­ West Texas A&M University has joined with the Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) to bring the Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP) program to our campus.­ This opportunity endows graduate students with extra money in the form of Performance-Based Scholarships and Conference Travel Funding.­ It also provides resources for Social and Collaborative Networks across TAMUS - 11 Universities total - in addition to Professional Development and Grant-Writing Workshops.­ Get more AGEP info here.

Travel notes: Mileage reimbursement rate is 57.5 cents per mile as of 1/1/2015.­ The University has adopted Mapquest for the official mileage reimbursement guide (some exceptions apply).­ Each travel voucher must have an attached copy of the mapquest mileage calculation for mileage reimbursement.
