| Office of General Majors Welcome to the Office of General Majors website! Students in our department are working toward a Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) degree or a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS) degree so they can obtain a career in their desired field. You will find B.A.A.S./B.G.S. students listed on the President’s and Dean’s Lists for outstanding course work. Our diverse student population is also represented in many campus organizations. Students are required to complete a minimum of 120 semester credit hours, including: the WTAMU core curriculum; 39 hours of advanced work (3000- or 4000-level), all of which must be earned in residence at WTAMU; and at least 30 of the final 36 hours counted toward the degree earned in residence. Follow the links below for further information regarding each degree. Our goal is to help you reach your educational goal! We would love to hear from you. Herschel Neal B.A.A.S./B.G.S.
