WTAMU Alumni Association Seeking Nominations for 2014 Award
CANYON, Texas—Nominations are being accepted for the West Texas A&M University Alumni Association’s annual Distinguished Alumnus Award. Nominations for the 2014 award will be accepted through Tuesday, Dec. 31.
The Distinguished Alumnus Award is the highest honor bestowed by the Alumni Association and honors the most successful of graduates from WTAMU. The award recognizes those who have made significant contributions to society, and their accomplishments, affiliations and careers have honored the legacy of excellence at WT. Selection is based on professional achievement and career or military service distinction, service to society and service and support to West Texas A&M University. Updated criteria for the award can be found at wtamu.edu/AlumniAwards.
Recipients of the coveted award will be officially recognized during an awards presentation at the Alumni Association’s annual Phoenix Banquet during the University’s Summer Alumni Reunion in June.
“It is a privilege to recognize the successes of our graduates,” Becky Stogner, executive director of the WTAMU Alumni Association, said. “Our alumni are accomplishing great things all around the world. I encourage anyone connected with the University to nominate exceptional WT graduates for the award.”
Individuals who were nominated in 2012 and 2013 but not selected either year, will automatically be considered for the awards this year.
