Leadership Programs consist of student oriented leadership opportunities designed to enable students to lead in a variety of settings.
To get involved a student must simply be interested in growing in his or her abilities to lead. We provide a variety of different leadership programs designed to connect with a variety of students.

Leadership Board is a group of students who oversee the different Leadership Programs on campus. This is a board of dedicated leaders who focus on providing the best leadership opportunities possible for the Student Body.

B.U.I.L.D. (Buffs Uniting in Leadership Development) is a new leadership development program for WT. This program is a development program designed to help you develop strong leadership skills that will greatly help you in your future career. You will learn to lead yourself, then lead a small group of leaders, and finally to oversee a larger leadership program. - The National Society of Leadership and Success
If you enjoy reading this might be the program for you! Each semester Leadership Programs offers an opportunity for you to receive a free book on leadership! All you have to do is attend a group discussion about the book. This Fall we provided the book Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. Stay tuned for what we offer in the Spring semester.
- Servant Leadership / The St. Jude's Project
This program is a team of leaders who put together programs to assist the St. Jude's Hospital and Research programs. This is an ideal leadership opportunity for students who desire to lead through service.
- Leadership Retreat
The Sipapu Leadership Retreat is a long standing tradition at WTAMU. This retreat is designed to help existing student leaders, or those who would like to be leaders, improve their skills to enhance their organizations. Sipapu is also a fun event with the opportunity to snow ski and visit the beautiful city of Taos, New Mexico.
Greek Leadership programs are designed to help social Fraternities and Sororities. These programs are geared toward helping with retention, transition, and overall improvement of Greek Life on campus. Visit our Facebook page
