| Nov. 20, 2012 COPY BY: Rana McDonald, 806-651-2129, rmcdonald@wtamu.edu WTAMU Lecture to Examine Christianity CANYON, Texas—West Texas A&M University’s Willson Lecture Series and the WTAMU Ministerial Alliance will sponsor a presentation on “Is Christianity Intolerant?” at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29 at the Alumni Banquet Facility on campus. The lecture, presented by Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM), will feature Michael Ramsden answering questions from Freethought Oasis, a group of agnostics, atheists and secularists. Ramsden is RZIM’s European director and director of the Oxford Center for Christian Apologists at Oxford University. He has spoken on Christianity at venues around the world including the White House, the British Parliament, European Parliament and in board rooms across Asia, Europe and the United States. He is involved in various initiatives to train emerging Christian leaders. RZIM was founded in 1984 by Dr. Ravi Zacharias and now comprises a team of speakers with offices around the world. Its mission is to train people to defend Christianity against attacks from other religions and world views. The Willson Lecture Series at WTAMU was established in 1947 by the J.M. Willson family of Floydada to provide colleges and universities with a religious emphasis on campus. The Thursday night lecture is free and open to the public.
