GForce is a group of motivated college students who help area high school students through tutoring, mentoring and outreach activities. The G-Force team concentrates on students’ attitude, aptitude and access for college. Through these focus areas, G-Force mentors try to show students that college is possible with a commitment to academic success and proper planning. The G-Force team provides knowledge about college admission and financial aid as well as academic tutoring. G-Force serves Caprock, Palo Duro, Hereford, Tascosa and Tulia high schools.
To help reach high school students more effectively, G-Force has utilized the WTAMU Mobile Go Center, a 42-foot trailer set up with laptops and satellite Internet. This resource provides a centralized technology hub for G-Force when traveling to area high schools.
G-Force also serves middle school students through The Maverick Boys and Girls Club, and even younger students at the Wesley Community Center.
