Over the term of the agreement, A&M System members are expected to see an estimated $92.3 million in cost-savings with SSC Service Solutions managing and operating facility services over a 12-year term. WTAMU officials will meet with SSC in March to review maintenance, landscaping and custodial services at the University, and SSC will conduct an analysis to determine how and when the cost savings measures will be implemented on campus. “WTAMU has signed a nonbinding letter of intent with SSC to explore the potential for future savings through privatization of select services at the University,” Dr. J. Pat O’Brien, University president, said. “We look forward to meeting with the SSC team in March and learning more about their services and what they potentially can do for our campus.” SSC Service Solutions is a premium provider of cleaning and facilities services in both K-12 schools and higher education institutions. With more than 40 years of industry experience and highly trained skilled professionals, SSC specializes in custodial and campus services, plant operations and maintenance and grounds management.
