WTAMU and Process Art House Plan Joint Art Exhibition
CANYON, Texas—Members of West Texas A&M University’s art faculty are joining with local artists in “Art of the New West,” a contemporary art show opening Friday, Oct. 11 at the Process Art House in Amarillo and Thursday, Oct. 17 at WTAMU’s Mary Moody Gallery.
The show is a joint effort between WTAMU and Process Art House to represent the contemporary art community in the Amarillo area. Each featured artist has submitted two works for display at each location. The opening at the Process Art House, located at 700 S. Van Buren in downtown Amarillo, begins at 7 p.m. Oct. 11 and will include a lecture by Dr. Amy VonLintel, WTAMU assistant professor of art. WTAMU’s opening is set for 6 p.m. Oct. 17 in the Mary Moody Gallery.
Each of the two exhibition will feature numerous works in a variety of mediums.
