Residential Living - What to Bring

Residence Hall Move-In is August 20 at 8 a.m.Residence Hall Move-In

We are VERY excited you chose West Texas A&M University! You are beginning a new chapter in your life, and the residential living staff is honored to be a part of this as you prepare to move into campus housing. Please travel safe and if you have questions or need additional information, contact our office at 806-651-3000 or via email at housing@mail.wtamu.edu

This year we’ve made a few changes to the move-in process that will be in place on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 20 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Our goal is to get you as close as possible for unloading, help ease traffic congestion, and reduce the time that you wait in lines.

On Wednesday, you will see STOP, DROP and GO zones. We ask that you

  1. STOP your vehicle, temporarily.
  2. DROP your belongings (unload your car) with the help of many volunteers.
  3. GO park your car away from this area.

Please find your assigned hall and follow the directions below:

Buff Hall
Enter campus on Russell Long Blvd/TX Spur 48. Turn south on 26th Street (a one-way street for this day) and continue until you see the signs directing you to the STOP, DROP and GO area for Buff Hall on the right side of the street. After unloading, park in Zone 10. 

Centennial Hall
Enter campus on Russell Long Blvd/TX Spur 48. Follow signs directing you into lot 13 (2700 block of Russell Long Blvd.) and follow directions to the STOP, DROP and GO zone, located between Shirley Hall and Centennial Hall. After unloading, park in Zone 13, 16S or 24.

Cross Hall
Enter campus on Russell Long Blvd/TX Spur 48. Follow signs directing you into lot 13 (2700 block of Russell Long Blvd.) and follow directions to the STOP, DROP and GO zone which will be a circle drive located between Cross Hall and Shirley Hall (Zone 16W). After unloading, park in Zone 13.

Conner Hall
Enter campus on Russell Long Blvd./TX Spur 48. Conner Hall will be on the south side of the road, the STOP, DROP and GO zone will be located on Russell Long Blvd. along the curb. Follow signs and volunteers’ directions. After unloading, park in Zone 10 (directly north of Conner Hall). 

Cousins Hall
Enter campus on Russell Long Blvd/TX Spur 48. Turn south on 26th Street (a one-way street for this day) and continue until you see the signs directing you to the STOP, DROP and GO area on the right side (west side) of the street. After unloading, park in Zone 9 or 28.

Founders Hall
Enter campus on Russell Long Blvd./TX Spur 48. Follow signs directing you into lot 13 (2700 block of Russell Long Blvd.) and follow directions to the STOP, DROP and GO area on the north side of Founders Hall. After unloading, park in Zone 24 (new VHAC), Zone 31 or the dirt lot across from Founders Hall main entrance.

Guenther Hall
Enter campus on Russell Long Blvd./TX Spur 48. Turn south into the Zone 7 parking lot on Keith Powell Dr. Follow direction of volunteers and continue to the back of Guenther Hall until you see signs for the STOP, DROP and GO area. After unloading, please park in Zone 10 by the Meat Lab, across Russell Long Blvd., just north of Conner Hall.

Jarrett Hall
Enter campus from either WTAMU Drive or I-27 exit #106, then turn right on Russell Long Blvd. You will see the STOP, DROP and GO area on the curb in front of Jarrett Hall. After unloading, park your car in Zone 6.

Jones Hall
Enter campus on Russell Long Blvd./TX Spur 48. Follow signs directing you into lot 13 (2700 block of Russell Long Blvd.) and follow directions to the STOP, DROP and GO zone at the north end of Jones Hall. After unloading, park in Zone 13.

Shirley Hall
Enter campus on Russell Long Blvd/TX Spur 48. Turn south on 26th Street (a one-way street for this day) and continue until you see the signs directing you to the STOP, DROP and GO area on the left side (east side) of the street. After unloading, park in Zone 13.

Stafford Hall
Enter campus on Russell Long Blvd/TX Spur 48. STOP DROP and GO will be on the south side of Stafford Hall, look for signs. After unloading, park in Zone 12.
