The office of Sponsored Research Services (SRS) is a service unit reporting to the Vice President of Research and Compliance, Dr. Angela Spaulding. Our mission is to support West Texas A&M University researchers in securing external funding and providing expert advice and administrative services during the pre- and post-award stages of the sponsored research project. We are committed to providing our internal and external customers professional and responsive service at all times.

New Grant Opportunities - UPDATED WEEKLY!  Check it out!

Congratulations to Jorge Granados, previous recipient of the President's Undergraduate Summer Research grant and the Graduate Student Research grant: Jorge has now been awarded the prestigious Pathways to the Doctorate Fellowship in the Department of Health and Kinesiology at Texas A&M University.  To read an article Jorge wrote about his experience with research at WT, click here. The 2013-2014 Killgore Faculty Research and Graduate Student Research Awards have been announced by the Killgore Research Committee. 11 faculty proposals and 14 student proposals were funded. Congratulations to all!  Click here to see the list of awardees and their projects.

Emily Hunt and Texas Tech professor Michelle Pantoya have published a second children's book, "Designing Dandelions."  It is attracting attention, including a recent article in the Amarillo Globe-News and "First Bell," a newsletter from the American Society for Engineering Education.

The College of Education and Social Sciences at West Texas A&M University is now home to the WTAMU Center for Learning Disabilities. Read about the new Center here.

Grant Writing Tips and Other Helpful Articles

Travel notes: Mileage reimbursement rate is 56.5 cents per mile as of 1/1/2013. The University has adopted Mapquest for the official mileage reimbursement guide. (Some exceptions apply.) Each travel voucher must have a copy of the mapquest mileage calculation attached for mileage reimbursement.
