Professional Profile
Dr. Subburaj joined the College of Engineering at West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) in 2017. She received a M.S. in Computer Science from Texas Tech University in 2010, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Texas Tech University in 2013. Prior to joining WTAMU, Dr. Subburaj was working as an Assistant professor for the Department of Computer Science at Baldwin Wallace University, Ohio in 2013. She is passionate about teaching software engineering courses and increasing women in computing disciplines. She has published more than 12 technical papers and has authored a textbook chapter.
Teaching and Related Service
Dr. Subburaj has taught courses such as CS 1301 Introduction to Computer Science, CS 1337 Object-oriented programming, 4385 Concurrency, and CS 4390/4391 Senior Design Project.
Dr. Subburaj is the lead author for her chapter titled "A Formal Specification Language and Agent Applications," in Springer Book Intelligent Agents in Data-intensive Computing, 2016.
Dr. Subburaj is a member of the IEEE Computing Society, ACM, ASEE, NCWIT, and serves as the adviser for ECSM Women’s group.
Research and Creative Activity
Dr. Subburaj's research interests include software specification languages, reliable software development, software security, automated software systems, and formal methods.
