Professional Profile
Dr. Bhattacharia joined the College of Engineering in 2018. He received B.Sc. and M.Sc in Chemical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He worked at Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission for 3.5years after his undergraduate degree. Dr. Bhattacharia received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas. He worked as a post-doctoral research associate at Texas Tech University for five years.
Teaching and Related Service
Dr. Bhattacharia currently teaches Thermodynamics and Material Science.
Dr. Bhattacharia is a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineering (AIChE), and North American Thermal Analysis Society (NATAS).
Research and Creative Activity
Dr. Bhattacharia’s research interests include Energetic Materials, Thermodynamic and Kinetic Properties of Materials, Combustion Synthesis, Crystal Growth, Aging of Organic Explosives and Pharmaceutical compounds, Thermal Analysis of Materials, and Thermophysical Properties.
Dr. Bhattacharia authored and coauthored over thirty publications and has made numerous appearances in various conferences both nationally and internationally.
