Professional Profile

Dr. Siddiqui joined the College of Engineering as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science in 2021. Prior to that, he worked at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro as a Lecturer for three consecutive semesters, where he taught a wide variety of courses in Computer Science. He received his B.Tech degree in Computer Engineering and the M.Tech degree in Software Engineering from the Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India, in 2005 and 2012, respectively. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio, in 2019.

Teaching and Related Service

Dr. Siddiqui teaches CS3352 (Operating Systems and Networking), CS4325 (Computer Architecture), CS3340 (Software Engineering), CS3341 (Introduction to Data Science) and CS4390 (Senior Capstone Project I) & CS4391 (Senior Capstone Project II).

Dr. Siddiqui is the author of several IEEE Journal and Conference Publications.

Research and Creative Activity

Dr. Siddiqui's research includes Multi-modal Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Augmented Reality. His current work is on exploring and developing new ways of Human-Computer interaction using DL that enable a computer to be more aware of the user's emotional state.
